Football - Edinburg High at McAllen Memorial

A 54-yard field goal was not enough for the Edinburg Bobcats to defeat the McAllen Memorial Mustangs on Friday night. The Mustangs opened the game with a scoring drive, but turnovers throughout the game kept them from building the lead. The Bobcats moved the ball, but could only walk away with a couple of field goals. When time expired, the Memorial Mustangs defeated the Edinburg Bobcats 7-6 in the first game of the season for these teams.
